Berryshine had her appearance based on Berry Punch. She was initially believed to be her, until a trading card confirmed Berry Punch's name.

Berryshine was first released as a unicorn in Rarity’s pose in wave 3. In wave 9, she was an earth pony in Pinkie Pie’s pose. Her cards from both waves state that she “loves berries more than any other pony.”
