These ponies are very commonly referred to as Dutch Ponies by collectors. However all the ponies seemed to have had bilingual Dutch and German packaging. Thus their intended market was likely not only the Netherlands, but also Germany and Austria.

These were not the only ponies sold in the Netherlands, as the name implies. The Netherlands seems to have gotten most of the G1 ponies. Here is a list of some of their Dutch Language names.
