Fan-Made Reproductions

For years, collectors have been requesting that someone make us a Convention Exclusive collector's pony using a G1 pose, or similar to a G1 style. This unfortunately never came to be; the answer that many of us were given by Hasbro representatives who attended our My Little Pony Fair was that they no longer held copyright to the G1 molds, and therefore were unable to create a reproduction.

Beginning in 2016, elite members of the collector's community began a project to produce Fan Made Reproductions. These were funded by pre-sales and crowdsourcing funds throughout the community. Working with a factory overseas, the first of these ponies reached the mainstream collector audience in September of 2016. Fan Made Reproductions are not licensed by a manufacturer, much like mass produced fakies, and use completely unique fan-created characters that resemble the style of G1 ponies. They are not official ponies and are instead considered high-quality customs.

In response to the years of requests of an exclusive, the first pony from this project is Genie: Wishes DO Come True.

Categories

Adding ponies to categories is the easiest way to organize ponies into every possible grouping you can think of. The categories are ordered from the biggest category a pony belongs to to the very smallest group. Good example can be change for each generation.

Skydancer, for example fits into all these categories:
