Synopsis
Sunny and her friends run straight into an eggciting mystery in town.
Plot
Sunny is happily flying through town with her smoothie cart and showering ponies with smoothies and even flower crowns for Izzy, Pipp, and Posey. However, in her excitement she doesn't see the giant egg in front of her.
Izzy and Pipp see the egg and decide to dress it up, and Sunny tries to make egg puns but nopony finds it funny. Misty checks her The Art of Spelling book and thinks that it may be a dangerous fire hawk. Zipp has an idea to try to call Eggmund about it, but he can't answer the phone because he's dealing with a bunch of bunnies running wild.
Hitch is reminded of the time they found Sparky's egg, so he decides to treat the egg well. He uses his magic to grow a nest of vines underneath the egg and then uses another vine to get to the top of the egg and sit on it.
Izzy and Pipp continue decorating the egg, and after Pipp makes a remark to Izzy, Izzy accidentally touches a hoof shaped button that has her cutie mark on it. Misty also sees ones with her cutie mark, and the others all join in, with Hitch's marks luckily being right underneath him. With their hooves in place, they can move layers of the egg like a sliding puzzle to make a whole picture, and Sunny's mark and button ends up in the center.
When they are finally all touching their buttons, the egg hatches to reveal a large white bird with multicolored wings and tail. At first the town panics, thinking that it is the fire hawk, but Misty and the gang realize that it is fine. The eggs that are raining down from its wings are really chocolate Easter eggs. It flies off in a rainbow and the whole town is delightedly eating the eggs.
Eggmund finally calls Zipp back, and mentions the gift he had sent them. It's then that Eggmund realizes his bunny children had kept and half eaten the instructions to open the egg. Sunny tries another egg pun, and this time everyone laughs, at least out of relief after the situation.
