Synopsis

Rainbows and color are being sucked into the clouds, but Zipp has an idea of just how to save the day.

Plot

Zipp is walking down the street when she sees a piece of rainbow fly past her. She sees more and more rainbow pieces fly off, and sees a giant rainbow where all of the pieces are being pulled into the clouds. That's when she gets a call from Sunny, calling an emergency meeting for the main characters.

They meet up at the top of the Crystal Brighthouse as more and more pieces of rainbow are being pulled away, and Zipp and Pipp realize that the rainbows must be going back to where they came from. Apparently, it was a bedtime story for pegasi that there is a machine in the clouds making all the rainbows.

The Unity Crystals that have been growing dull from their color being stolen suddenly grow colorful again and the rainbow magic around them grows larger and Zipp realizes they should hop in and travel on the rainbows to get up to the machine. She hops in without hesitation. Sunny is a bit nervous, but hops in right after and the others follow her.

They find themselves flying up the rainbow until they land on top of the clouds, rainbows everywhere. Zipp knows of a hidden staircase, and while Sunny is suggesting they split up, Zipp immediately finds a button that opens some clouds and shows them the staircase.

They continue playing around on the staircase made of clouds until they see a swirling vortex. Zipp uses her special glasses to look down into it, and she sees the machine with something inside clogging it.

She flies inside to get to it but the wind is too strong for just her. And right before she is about to get fully blown away, Pipp grabs her hooves. Sunny also shows up in her full alicorn powers and helps stabilize all three of them.

The machine itself is surrounded by a swirling wall of rainbow, but with Sunny's power's she shields them and they fight their way in. There is a calm in the middle of the rainbow storm right where the machine is, and Zipp goes over and sticks a hoof in to pull out the pegasnail that had been trapped in the machine.

The pegasnail throws up rainbows, but otherwise flies off fine. And that's when they see the sky fully clear, the rainbows begin returning to Maretime Bay, and the machine ticking normally again. Misty and Hitch are worried about how they'll get back to the ground, when Zipp suggests they fly back on the pieces of rainbow, which they excitedly do.
