Jumbo Playing Cards

Generation 4 continued having merchandise throughout Generation 5's run and beyond, which means Generation 5 and 4 had to be advertised at the same time. Somehow, Hasbro compromised and let these be produced. A similar thing happened to a set of puzzles released around this time.

These were released in 2022 by Spin Master LTD. and distributed by Greenbrier International, Inc..

Playing Cards

Aquarius produced sets of regular playing cards with G4 ponies on them. Pictured is a regular pack of cards and a special edition tin with two sets inside. The regular set is copyrighted 2013, and the special edition is 2014.

Shuffle

Players have to arrange cards one at a time to form whole gems.

This was created and distributed by Cartamundi in 2015 (though the cards say 2014 on them).

Snap

Top Trumps

Top Trumps is played by dealing out character cards that all have various stats on them. Each round, someone picks a stat, and whoever has the character card with the highest number in that stat wins the round.

These were created by Winning Moves UK Ltd. in 2015 for "Who's the Most Magical?" and 2017 for "Fabulous Friends."

Memory Games

Memory and matching games involve placing tiles face down and finding matches through memory and trial and error.

Memory Game

There were multiple versions of the Memory Game, at least two had Princess Twilight Sparkle on the box.

The horizontal one pictured was by Hasbro and Ravensburger AG in 2013.

Board Games

Candy Land

Candy Land is played by pulling cards with color squares on them and moving your character to the closest square(s) of that color, or to a special space if you pull a particular location card.

Hasbro created a version themed after G4's "My Little Pony: the Movie" in 2017. Instead of the standard Candy Land characters and locations, the board mostly focuses on the seaponies and the main villains of the movie and uses the Mane Six's cutie marks for special location spots. It came with clear blind bag figures of Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash for the player characters. There are also cards with an option to help other players.

Chutes and Ladders

My Little Pony version of the game came with three blind bag ponies to use as pieces and ponies appear on the board itself.

The Game of Life

This board game came with blind bag figures of Twilight Sparkle, DJ Pon-3, Doctor Whooves, and Derpy.

Monopoly: 100 Years of Hasbro

This board game was not specifically My Little Pony merchandise, but because this set was celebrating Hasbro's 100th anniversary, one of the game pieces was G4 Pinkie Pie.

Pie Face!

Ponyville Party Game

This game came with three exclusive glitter blind bag figures of Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy.

Rainbow Magic Game

This game came with at least two versions - one with unicorn Twilight Sparkle and one with alicorn Twilight Sparkle. The other blind bag figures that came with Twilight Sparkle were Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie.

"In the rainbow game compete the four ponies Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Lyra Heartstrings about who comes first to the castle. If you follow the rainbow you jump forward on the board. If you end up in the wateryou run the risk to float back on the field. If you are lucky, one of your pony friends can help you out of the waterfall.
