G5 Discord is a draconequus who appears exclusively in the G5 IDW comics starting in 2022.
Unliked most examples of reused names in My Little Pony, G5 Discord is intended in-universe to be the same character as G4 Discord.
Media Appearances
Tapestry in My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale
Discord first appeared in IDW G5 Issue 2, and made his final appearance in G5 Issue 10. He served as an antagonist, stealing the pegasus Unity Crystal from the Mane 5 out of fear that magic would cause the pony tribes to fight again.
A tapestry of Discord being turned to stone by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna appeared in the My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale episode Misty-rious New Room.
