Thunder Flap is a G5 pony first introduced in 2021.

He is a guard for Queen Haven in the pegasus city, Zephyr Heights. He can almost always be found alongside Zoom Zephyrwing.

In My Little Pony: A New Generation, Thunder is a guard who is rattled when he and Zoom Zephyrwing come across Sunny Starscout and Izzy Moonbow. Despite his initial fears about earth ponies and unicorns, he is the friendlier of the two guards, happy to answer Sunny's questions about pegasus ponies and to tell her that he collects sneakers. He is shorter than Zoom.

Zoom and Thunder take Sunny and Izzy to Queen Haven. Later when the pegasus royal family is wanted for being "phony ponies full of baloney", Zoom and Thunder show up in Bridlewood Forest to arrest Queen Haven. But she convinces them to instead accompany her to Maretime Bay, where are present to witness Sunny bringing magic back to Equestria.

In My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, Thunder, voiced by Athena Karkanis, and Zoom attend Zipp's flight school (or, as she puts it, one time training) to become better fliers in the episode Zipp's Flight School.

Thunder appears in various episodes of Tell Your Tale and My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, usually alongside Queen Haven and Zoom.
