Help:Example character article
- Note: this example article is based heavily on the one from the TF Wiki
If there are multiple versions of a character within the generation, the descriptor should be placed in parentheses after the character's name, e.g. Twilight (so soft).
- Note: This is a note about the character
For characters with only a couple toy and/or merch releases and no media releases, this image may be skipped.
[Name] in [media name] (for media, e.g. Teddy in My Little Pony Tales)
[Name] is a G# [earth pony/dragon/bushwooly/whatever] first introduced in [year].
For ponies with several different personalities or general overviews, such as G1 Shady who is different in MLP 'n Friends vs the UK comics, the personality section should be skipped here and gone over in more detail in the Media section.
Keep toy descriptions general, you can go into more detail in the Releases section.
If there is any information that is particularly notable or important and would not fit better in a different section, it may go here.

The Hoof Colour, Horn Colour and Wing Colour sections should only be used for generations where they are regularly different from the body colour, e.g. G2 and G5, or if otherwise applicable to the pony, e.g. G4 Princess Cadence who has gradient wings or G1 Valentine's friend who has coloured hooves.
Cutie Mark MUST be used for G3+ characters, Symbol can be used for pre-G3 characters.
If a character is not a pony, this section can either be modified to fit their species or skipped entirely in favor of a written description.

For character with many MANY media appearances, such as G4 Twilight Sparkle, this section can be condensed to be more brief, but for character with fewer appearances, every appearance should be described in more detail.
[Name] made their first appearance in the 1923 comic issue Revenge of the Winged Unicorn Pegacorn Unisus Alicorns. They were a friendly but shy pony who struggled with self-esteem and loved making pizza, eventually learning how to use that ability to defeat their foes. They sucessfully saved the world from the evil Queen Dark Evil Heart Star and restored light to the land of Ponyquestria.
In the next issue, Revenge of the Revenge of the Winged Unicorn Pegacorn Unisus Alicorns, Queen Dark Evil Heart Star returns and [Name] uses their newfound confidence to summon an army of pizza-wielding ponies to defeat her much more easily than before.
They made a brief cameo appearance in the 2055 chapter book Bedtime Stories for Unruly Children, watching over the town of Dreamville as they slept to keep them safe from the nightmare monsters.
[Name] was one of the characters featured in the animated commercial for the Easy Bake set of G15 pony toys, where they had black hooves rather than their usual white.
In the Australian-exclusive picture books, [Name] was very different. They worked in a corporate office rather than the weather factory, and were noticably meaner to the other ponies than in other incarnations.
