The New Zealand Mint, now Agoro, is known for making legal tender collectible coins. Over the years Retro G1 merchandise became popular, they have released three different coins.

The design on the coin features the original six collector pose ponies: Blossom, Blue Belle, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Minty, and Snuzzle.
