Wizard Wantall is a recurring antagonist of the ponies in the G1 comic books who first appeared in "My Little Pony" #3. Sometimes he works alone and sometimes he is assisted by a boy named Get-It.
Wizard Wantall is very greedy. In his first appearances he attempts to steal the ponies' Waterfall, but later he goes after anything that catches his eye, including Baby Countalot's abacus, the Sparkle pony Sky Rocket, and First Base's baseball.
Wizard Wantall is similar in appearance to the Man in the Moon, which led him to impersonating the Man in the Moon on one occasion.
One comic story explains that the reason Wizard Wantall steals things from the ponies is to put them in his "Pony Museum".
