Star Swirl is a G4 Earth Pony who is exclusive to the toyline. She was released as a bonus pony with Rarity's Royal Gem Carriage in Europe.

- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic features a different Star Swirl, who was an ancient unicorn magician, and is referred to in-show as Star Swirl the Bearded. While Twilight has worn a costume based on him in the episode Luna Eclipsed, he has so far not shown up on screen.
