The 'Reboot Series' is a make-over of the typical round style that the Generation 4 of My Little Pony had, the term was coined by MLP Merch. ^[1] These new ponies are thinner, slightly more angled and have a different weight distribution as well as more pose variation than previously. It is possible the weight distribution was a problem for poses in the past as the mass was majorly in their legs and hooves.^[2] The plastic and hair is also of a slightly different quality, it's unclear if it's to comply with current safety regulations.^[3]
