The G4 Generation was released in October 2010, with the premier of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on the Hub channel. The show is animated in Flash as opposed to hand-drawn animation and takes place in the land of Equestria. Generation 4 also include the associated toy-line as well as the Equestria Girls spin-off franchise.
