Kimono is a Generation 3 My Little Pony. She is a shimmery opal purple pony with dark violet hair, green/yellow eyes, and a golden yellow Japanese lantern Cutie Mark. She is one of the first eight G3 ponies released in 2003 and has a total of four different releases in two different poses.

Kimono is part of the First 50 G3 line, in which the first 50 ponies of each character off the production line were sold on eBay as a collaborative effort between Hasbro and World in Advance.

She is also one of four G3 ponies featured in Disney Princess attire and sold at Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney store Once Upon a Toy.

Kimono was released in a different pose in 2005 and sold as a budget exclusive at Kay-Bee Toys.

She is featured in the A Charming Birthday short, in which she is known as "the wisest pony in the land."

To celebrate the return of the My Little Pony toy line in 2003, Hasbro collaborated with World in Advance to auction the first 50 figures off the production lines of six different ponies on eBay. Each pony is individually numbered 1-50, noted with a holographic sticker on the side of the package, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. As they are part of the regular production line, they are otherwise no different than their standard release counterparts. The promotion was very successful and continued with different pony sets through 2005, though the First 50 package sticker would change and no certificates were issued after 2003.

Other First 50 ponies auctioned this year were:
