It was a lovely day, and Cherry Petal was looking for a kitty to play with. She searched all the picture frames, but there were no kitties anywhere. Cherry Petal had that sad and "left-out" feeling! Suddenly, all the kitties jumped out and meowed, "Surprise!" They played with balls of yarn and climbed trees all afternoon. "What a picture purr-fect day!" purred Cherry Petal.

Catalog Appearances
Cherry Petal appeared in the 1991 Mattel Catalog (page 86). The catalog image for all of the Picture Pets was probably flipped horizontally during the catalog design process as evidenced by the beauty marks being shown on the right hip instead of the left.[1] Cherry Petal is also shown in the Mattel Girls Toys 1991 Repro Art Book[2] and twice in Mattel's 1991 Pre-Toy Fair Sell Sheets[3].
