Berry Bright was released only once in 1997 as part of the Secret Surprise Friends set. She is the only 1997 pony with no rereleases. Berry Bright has two variants – one row and two rows of mane plugs – like all other 1997 ponies except Light Heart. In the UK, she was sometimes sold with a "free gift" sheet of 60 nail stickers attached to her backcard, and in Greece, she was sometimes packaged with a lampada for Easter. There are also variations of her USA backcard – one that lists Kenner as the manufacturer and another that lists Hasbro. The text remains the same with some slight differences in typography.
