Maia & Borges ponies are special PVC ponies with a rubbery texture. It's unclear what their exact origin are from, it's suggested they came as magazine prices in Europe. The ponies are stamped " © 1984, Hasbro Inc, M+B, Made in Portugal ". Some came as necklaces while others came as keychains, the necklace consisted of a thick polyester string and a plastic closing clip mechanic while the keychains consisted of a hoop with a latch to secure it. Due to their frail plastic, many of them have broken due to wear.
