Bluey the balloon bird is a recurring character in the G1 comic books. He was originally an ordinary, lifeless balloon owned by the Jelly Jester, until Baby Lucky unknowingly wished him to life with his special magic phrase, "happy-go-lucky".
Bluey chose to leave the Jelly Jester and live at the Lullabye Nursery as a special friend to Baby Lofty. Neither of them was good at flying, so they decided to learn together.
Appearances
- In "My Little Pony" #27, the Jelly Jester brings the balloon bird to life. (This is his first appearance.)
- In the "My Little Pony" #50, Bluey is seen living in the nursery and takes a message from Baby Cotton Candy to Majesty.
