Crab apples are magical hybrids of crabs and apples which live under the sea. However, they can also survive on dry land.
When Applejack's apple-eating got out of control, Majesty borrowed a crab apple tree from King Neptune. A few pinches to Applejack's nose and the little pony learned to rein in her greedy ways.
