+ | Mexican ponies were made and sold in Mexico. Initially the ponies were licensed to/made by a company called Lily Ledy, such ponies have clear hoof marks that sat "Lily Ledy" and "Made in Mexico". This company made the first six ponies, but then their factory burnt down and Hasbro then gave the license to a company called Auriken.

+ | *Lily Ledy versions of the first six are more rare than Auriken ones.
+ | |||
+ | *Auriken ponies have no marks on their hooves, though their hooves could be either completely flat or concave. So you must infer, someone referring to a "Mexican FF Minty", is referring to an "Mexican Auriken FF Minty."
+ | |||
+ | *The first six ponies made in Mexico are often referred to as "Lily Ledy Minty" or "Auriken Butterscotch", whereas later ones are just "Mexican Firefly" because any non-first six Mexican pony is also an Auriken pony, so calling it "Mexican" is enough.

+ | |||
+ | The variations in printing, type of plastic used, and slight mold variations help identify the completely unmarked Auriken ponies. (Not to mention the place that you found that pony is a good hint, but with eBay these days a pony's true origin can be tricky.) <ref>http://www.mexicanponyparadise.com/infoframes.html</ref>

Nirvana Ponies by Country
Argentina | Australia | Brazil | Colombia | France | Germany
Greece | Italy | India | Japan | Macau | Mexico
Netherlands | Peru | Scandinavia | South Africa | Spain | Venezuela |
Nirvana ponies are pony variants with very limited distribution. (Variants on the ponies sold in North America.)
These ponies are exclusive to certain countries because they were either only made in that country or they were only sold in that country (and made in China or Hong Kong for instance).
Ponies are listed here under their respective country. You can click on the country name for more general characteristics of ponies and extra info on country´s pony production.
Ponies with subtle variations can sometimes be identified by their hoof markings, ie MACAU, SPAIN, ITALY etc.
Ponies were exported to neighboring countries, so a MIB pony in a German language package may not be a German nirvana pony. You have to check on the package where the pony is made, or somehow get a look at the pony's hooves.

These ponies were mostly sold in Germany, and possibly other European countries. Macau ponies are known for a few unique color combinations. Most notably Jenny,a brown and white version of Peachy.
