US Megan & Sundance Pamphlet © 1985

Generation 1 has many "one-off" or special releases, beginning in Year Three.

Year Three (1984-1985)

Megan & Sundance: USA & Canada

The first Megan and Sundance sets were released this year.

Megan & Sundance Commercial

Lyrics are as follows, sung to the familiar tune:

My Little Pony, Megan and Sundance,

They go together everywhere.

My Little Pony, Megan and Sundance,

I love to comb their beautiful hair.

Megan and Sundance, so pretty together,

It's fun to put Megan in poses too.

My Little Pony, Megan and Sundance,

They're like a dream come true.

Megan is a G1 staple, first appearing in the Rescue at Midnight Castle/Firefly's Adventure pilot episode, sharing the spotlight with Firefly. She is next featured in the Escape from Catrina special, where she has special moments with both Sundance and Baby Moondancer. She and her two younger siblings, Danny and Molly, go on to be special human friends to the ponies in My Little Pony: The Movie (1986) and the My Little Pony TV series. While the commercial above sings that Megan and Sundance "go together everywhere," Sundance is not seen after Escape from Catrina except in the opening credits of the TV series.

Megan and Sundance include a ribbon for Sundance, ribbon for Megan's ponytail, bridle, standard comb, flower brush, dress, panties, shoes, round, puffy sticker, and an order form for the Birthflower Ponies.

Megan & Sundance: UK

Megan and Sundance are slightly different in the UK, with Sundance having no country stamped on her feet, and Megan in a different outfit.

Megan and Sundance include a ribbon for Sundance, ribbon for Megan's ponytail, standard comb, flower brush, romper, apron, shoes, and round, puffy sticker.

Megan & Sundance and Molly & Baby Sundance Commercial

"And Baby Sundance. Those two are a pair. "

"See them together with Megan and Sundance."

"I love to comb their beautiful hair. "

"[And new, different poses.] Molly loves poses."

"And [indecipherable] to posin’ is certainly true. "

"Megan and Sundance and Molly and Baby, "

"No one else like you. "

Megan & Sundance include a ribbon for Sundance, ribbon for Megan's ponytail, bridle, standard comb, flower brush, dress, panties, shoes, scented body sticker, and an order form for the special offer order form.
