Baby Starburst was one of six Baby Fancy Pants ponies released in the US and Canada. This set had painted on underpants.
In some other countries, however, she was part of a hybrid set called the Playtime Baby ponies which combined Baby Drummer and Baby Paws of the Playtime Baby Brother set and Baby Glider, Baby Splashes, Baby Dots 'n Hearts, and Baby Starburst of the Baby Fancy Pants ponies set. The UK, France, and Germany were some of the countries that received this hybrid set.

Backcard Story
One night, Baby Starburst went for a ride on a soft, fluffy cloud. She listened to the moon sing pretty lullabies and waved at the twinkling stars. Just before dawn, the moon sprinkled moondust on Baby Starburst, and suddenly, tiny stars and moons appeared on her pants! She returned to her bed, falling sound asleep as the moon whispered "Sweet dreams, Baby Starburst!"

UK Baby Starburst

This variation of Baby Starburst was sold in selected European countries, including the UK. She has a yellow forelock and blue and pink moons and stars on her diaper. She was made in China, unlike the 'regular' version which was made in Thailand.
