Year Three expanded upon several of the previous year’s pony sets and introduced some new sets, as well. The is the year that brought us Megan, the ponies’ human friend ( in a special set with Sundance), and the first set of Baby Sea Ponies. More Mail Order ponies were also released.

Groom 'n Style Pony Backcard

The UK Earth Ponies have two different releases for Applejack and Bow-Tie. While they share the same long, curly hair of this year's US releases, they are in the Collectors Pose rather than the Shy pose.

Gusty's Backcard

The Year Three unicorns include four new characters and two rereleases – Glory and Moondancer. Both rereleased ponies are unchanged but include new accessories. There are also two new pegasus ponies this year, as well as two rereleases with longer, curly hair – Firefly and Medley.
