"Rise and shine!" Sunspot called to the sleeping ponies, but they only yawned and snuggled deeper into their beds. "I know how to wake them!" she thought, flying into the air. She flew up to her friend, Mr. Sun, and whispered in his ear. Smiling happily, he sent sunbeams into the ponies' bedroom windows. The sunbeams filled each room and sprinkled glittering flecks of sunshine on the ponies! They awoke with smiling faces, and cheerfully tossed some of the bright flecks on Sunspot as she skipped into their bedrooms.

Pony Stats

  • Pose: Tootsie Pose
  • Body Colour: Translucent Orange, with blue square and white glow-in-the-dark circle confetti
  • Hair Colour: 'Fading pink'
  • Eye Colour: Yellow
  • Symbol: Pink and yellow smiling sun

This is a Test Run Sunspot for the Sparkle Pony set. She has round and square confetti embedded in her translucent body, with the circles being glow-in-the-dark. Unlike regular Sunspot, her hair does not have any tinsel and she has yellow instead of light blue eyes.

It was confirmed by former Hasbro designer Suzanne Riette-Keith, who helped design sparkle ponies, that this pony was a test to see what looked better in this particular species of ponies. They ended up going with glitter flakes. This gimmick would later be used in the Glow 'n Show Ponies (and visually the most similar to the blue-hearts version of Dazzleglow)

Markings

  • Rear left hoof "Hong Kong"
  • Rear right hoof "Hasbro Pat Pend", no year.

She was found in the United States.
