Current Inc. Promotion – © 1988
Stationery company Current Inc. offered two baby ponies in its catalog in the late 1980s. They are known in the community as the "Valentine Twins," but it is unknown whether they have official names. Per their packages, the white pony is simply labeled "My Little Pony Toy," and the purple pony is labeled "1st Tooth My Little Pony Toy." Their packages list a 1988 copyright date, but they were likely available to order in 1989 or later.

Kids Classics Fruit Snacks – ca. 1990
The Kids Classics brand fruit snacks offered a My Little Pony coloring page or a pony purchase rebate around 1990. Featured ponies are Bubblefish, Dazzleglow, Firefly, Half Note, and Princess Pony. The rebate form offered a return on the purchase of any Sweet Talking Pony, Precious Pocket Pony, Glow 'n Show Pony, or Secret Surprise Pony.

Kellogg's Promotion – © 1991
Hasbro's final US brand collaboration began in 1991 with Kellogg's Rice Krispies. Consumers could choose between a G.I. Joe action figure, My Little Pony baby pony, or a Weebles figure with two proofs-of-purchase, or they could receive two toys with three proofs-of-purchase. The inside of the cereal box also had coupons printed on it, including one for the Secret Surprise Ponies.

The US My Little Pony Fan Club was launched in 1984 and relaunched in 1987. My Little Pony Fan Club membership was advertised alongside mail order ponies in the following pamphlets:
