A lot of ponies share the same type of hair color. This is a list to group those names together.

G1 Hair Colors

Some ponies may seem to have wildly varying shades of colors but, it may in fact be UV degradation. [1] Generally light colors seem to be more prone to this than darker ones. [2]

Unique Hair

UV Color Changing Hair

The hair of these ponies change color when exposed to sunlight. Because of the material composition of their hair, they are far more likely to become frizzy as compounds degrade overtime. [18][19]

Watercolor Hair

Ponies with this type of hair changed color when in contact with warm water. The texture is different from normal hair and feels more like cotton.[20]
