G1 Combs

Original Combs

Blue Comb Comparison

Came with Collector Ponies from Year One (1982-1983) and other ponies and playsets through Year Two (1983-1984). There's at least 4 different shades of purple combs, but they are hard to tell apart.[1]

Came with My Pretty Pony, Mail Order Version of Pretty Parlour (for both, combs have circles on back) and the 25th Anniversary Retro Ponies (combs have no circles on back).

Princess Picks and Sweet Heart Sister picks looks almost identical, they are distinguishable in how much glitter they have in them, see comparison picture on the right. [5]

These have less glitter in them than the Princess picks (see comparison picture on the right). There are many pictures around showing different colors picks to different ponies in the set, the color does not seem to have been set.[8][9][10]
